About the name:
I was in bed sketching logo ideas and telling my wife about my plan to make an 8-part video series answering beginner questions about the Leica Q2. She liked the idea, but asked, "what happens to the website after you finish the last video?"
I hadn’t thought about that.
“Maybe it should have a different name,” she said, “so you can still use it after the videos are done.”
She took her glasses off, glanced at my sketch, leaned in, said goodnight. A few seconds later she looks back over her shoulder and asks, “What’s 8 gallon?”
The classic B8 problem. We laughed.
The name stuck.
